RED CROSS SOCIETY HONOUR SEGUN ODUNMBAKU AS PATRON OF ORGANIZATION - OJODU LCDA

The Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon David Olusegun Odunmbaku was today honoured as Patron of the Red Cross Society at an investiture ceremony held at the council secretariat Oke-Ira Ogba.

Red Cross is an international organization and It’s mission is to alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, uphold human dignity especially during armed conflicts and other emergencies.

It’s values are Humanity, Impartiality and Neutrality and Universality while it’s core mandates are response to emergency and catering to the vulnerable in society, assisting in times of major disasters.

The Lagos State Branch Chairman in elated speech while conferring the Mayor as a Platinum Member and Patron of the organization praised the Chairman for the unprecedented development witnessed in Ojodu LCDA and elucidated on why service to humanity in any capacity is service to God while stating other areas like Disaster Management, Advocacy and Prevention that the organization can partner the council to train Staff and residents.

In his acceptance speech, the Mayor of Ojodu LCDA was grateful to the leadership and entire Red Cross Society for the honour bestowed on him saying he sees it as a privilege and call to service to humanity as his philosophies and policies of his administration are synonymous with humanitarian principles.

“The Red Cross mantra tally with our Agenda especially in the areas of Health where we are providing Ambulances and Free Medical Missions towards preventive medicine and would seek areas to collaborate and support the organization” said Odunmbaku.

“On behalf of the, great people, leadership, management and staff of Ojodu LCDA, I expressed my appreciation for the honour and investiture while imploring youths to part of this laudable and remarkable organization” He concluded.

At the Investiture ceremony are the Vice Chairman, Hon Bunmi Oluyadi, SLG, Hon Olaide John Bello, Supervisors, Legislators and Management Team of the Council.
