“Shun Cultism and other social vices for the sake of your future”. These were the words of the Vice-Chairman, Ojodu LCDA Hon. Bunmi, who represented the Executive Chairman Hon David Odunmbaku at the occasion of the Year 2021 Campaign against Cultism and Drug Abuse, held at the council secretariat.
The annual campaign aims at sensitizing secondary school students on the dangers of cultism and substance usage, in order to eradicate the menaces and secure a bright future for the ‘leaders of tomorrow’
The guest lecturer, Dr Olufemi Michael elucidated the draconian and devastating consequences of belonging to cult groups and also provided the precautionary measures to adopt in ensuring that the blossoming and bright future of the students is not thwarted.
While giving his remarks, the Council-Manager, Engr. Dele Abayomi also encouraged the students to shun all forms of social vices as they have sure chances of attaining any height in life without indulging in illicit activities.
The dignitaries in attendance at the event were members of the legislative arm, management team, teachers and students from various secondary schools within Ojodu LCDA, the HOD. Education and Library Services, Mrs Belo.
