In order to strategically position Ojodu LCDA for a successful fiscal year, the Executive Chairman, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku led Council Manager, Engr. Dele Abayomi, the management team and other participants to a 3-day Budget Retreat at De Meros Hotel, Agidingbi Lagos State.
The 3 Days were filled with a series of activities, impactful sessions and lectures delivery to intellectually equip and position the staff for a worthwhile year.
During one of the lectures, tagged ‘Analysis of Budget: Difference between Budget and Procurement Process’, the facilitator, Mr Balogun expressed his satisfaction at the level of professionalism and dedication present in the administration of Ojodu LCDA. He also advised the participants to employ all resources (Human and Capital) in order to hit or surpass set targets; with the primary intention of bettering the lives of the masses.
Also, while delivering the lecture on “Tapping the Hidden Treasures of the LCDA”, Dr Badejo advised that old ways of doing things should give way to the new ways. Innovations and trendy ideas should be incorporated in order to remain productive in the present dispensation, such as e-billing, training and retraining, skills acquisition, updates etc.
All Departments, Units, Revenue Officers and other participants were afforded the opportunity to make inputs and contributions with the aim of positioning the council for financial success.
In his closing remark, the Executive Chairman commended Vice Chairman, Hon Bunmi Oluyadi for his unalloyed support since the inception of the administration, as well as the management Staff for professionalism and commitment. He promised to always provide an enabling environment, utmost staff welfare, the synergy between staff and Excos through social engagements; while best services and practices are expected from the staff at all times.
Likewise, Odunmbaku admonished the staff to be creative, to brainstorm, encourage training and retraining, embrace new technologies/trends (e-billing) of doing things, etc., with the promise of incentive and meritorious remuneration.
The crux of the deliberations centred around the actualization of the Mayor’s H.E.Y.S (Health, Education, Youths & Sport, and Social Infrastructure) agenda for the development of Ojodu LCDA. The initiative which has been running since the inception of the administration has recorded giant strides and conspicuous accomplishments across the LCDA.
The budget retreat was blissfully concluded with a Gala Night to unwind from the intellectual sessions and deliberations as the Council is set to provide more developmental projects and programs in this fiscal year of 2022
