As part of his oversight responsibilities, Honorable Segun David Odunmbaku, the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA in Lagos State, presented the 2024 proposed budget titled “Community Driven Budget” to the council’s legislature at the legislative chambers in the secretariat, Oke-Ira Ogba, yesterday.
During the budget presentation, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku expressed his administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life for citizens. He emphasized the H.E.Y.S Agenda, focusing on Health, Education, Youth & Women Empowerment, and Social Infrastructure.
Addressing legislators and dignitaries, he stated, “We are conscious of the need to consistently provide the dividends of democracy to our people, in fulfillment of the mandate freely given to us. We are resolute in safeguarding and building upon our achievements thus far.”
The proposed budget, amounting to N3.539 billion, was described by the Mayor as well-planned, outlining people-centric programs and projects. He wished the legislators successful deliberations on the appropriation bill.
In response, the Leader of the House, Honorable Opeyemi Apatira, conveyed the legislative arm’s commitment to prioritizing key sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Social Services. He assured that appropriations would be based on feedback and needs expressed by constituents.
