OJODU LCDA COMMENCES SOLAR TRAINING FOR YOUTHS

Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, participated in today’s “End Of Project Meeting For The Sanitation And Hygiene Improvement Project (SHIP)” in Lagos State, which was organized in collaboration with Kimberly Clark and WaterAid Nigeria.
Ojodu LCDA partnered with WaterAid and their development ally, Kimberly Clark, to implement Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Improvement initiatives. These projects were strategically placed in schools, markets, and health centers, aimed at enhancing safe, comprehensive, and sustainable WASH services for the LCDA’s populace.
In his expression of gratitude, Hon Segun Odunmbaku acknowledged the efforts of WaterAid and Kimberly Clark. He pledged to uphold project sustainability, aligning with the H.E.Y.S development agenda of his administration. Additionally, he emphasized his dedication to fostering more partnerships with the private sector and development partners to drive the socioeconomic advancement of Ojodu LCDA.
A significant moment of the event was the recognition of Hon Segun Odunmbaku’s exemplary dedication and support for the project, as evidenced by the presentation of an award certificate to him. This served as a testament to his accessibility and promptness in forging developmental partnerships.
Mrs. Ganiyat Bello, the Head of Education at Ojodu LCDA, commended Hon Segun Odunmbaku for his exceptional support and outlined resolutions for ensuring the sustainability of the project. Community Leader and Resource Person, Mrs. Aliu, noted that the project had already positively influenced behavioral patterns towards environmental sanitation, particularly in markets and motor parks within Ojodu LCDA.
Among the attendees were representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, the Secretary to the Local Government of Ikorodu North LGA, the Management Team of Ojodu LCDA, officials from WaterAid and Kimberly Clark, as well as community and traditional leaders.
