CITATION ON OLADUNNI SOLA SONATE (MRS)

Mrs. OLADUNNI SOLA SONATE was born on the 6th of August, 1960 into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Babatunde Padonu, Awayigbo quarters from Badagry Local Government of Lagos State.
She attended Ideal Girls Primary School, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate in the year 1973.
She had her secondary education at Lagos Anglican Girls’ Grammar School where she obtained her Secondary School Certificate in the year 1979.
After her secondary education, she proceeded to Lagos State College of Education while awaiting to gain admission into a university, On the completion her National Certificate of Education she worked briefly at Gbaja Girls Grammar School before she got admission into Lagos State University where she studied English/Education.
She joined the Local Government Service Commission as an Information Officer on GL.08 on February 7th 1991. In her quest for more education, during the course of her service she attended Lagos State University for her Master Degree in Public Administration.
She started her journey in the Local Government Service Commission at Badagry Local Government during her service years, she worked at:-
Development Area where she became the Head of Administration till date.
To her credit she was a member of the prestigious Nigeria Institute of Public Relation (NIPR) having obtained a post graduate diploma in Public Relations in 1998. She also had a dint with Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) where she also bagged a post graduate diploma in Public Relation. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
She rose from Grade Level-08 to become a Director in the Lagos State Civil Service and was lucky to be one of the Thirty Seven (37) fortunate officers to be given the post of Head of Administration by the then Governor of the State on 12th January, 2017.
She served diligently and was well known to be a Public Relations guru. She is a force to be recon with when it comes to the issue of Public Relations. She was the President of the Local Government Public Relations Officer before she was made the Head of Administration.
A seasoned Administrator, Respectful, a Mother to the core, a reliable Officer and figure to emulate in all spheres of life.
She is a member of the Methodist family as an Evangelist.
She is happily married to Mr. Adams Olawale Oladunni and blessed with three children.
