The foundation for every great scholar in the world today is solely based on their exposures, life experiences and quality of basic education. This fact proves that here is much more than education happening when a child takes a seat behind a desk at an elementary school. According to Mahatma Ghandi, basic education is compulsory for the development of the human mind. He said “basic education is democratic and socialistic in nature”.
By succinctly keying into the Federal and States government policy on the National Mass Literacy agenda, the council boss – Hon. Olumuyiwa Oloro, has proven to be a politician of repute who makes decisions in the right direction. According to a statement credited to him, the mayor said, “our goal is to develop in Ojodu children the ability to use literacy and numeracy to enhance their lives through knowledge and understanding of their social and physical environment. Creating an enabling learning environment is germane towards the improvement of human capital development by catching them young. This invariably develops the right attitude and commitment towards active participation in nation building starting from the grassroots level”.
Today, the 23rd day of January 2020 was quite memorable following the uncontrollable expression of joy and appreciation from notable personalities, party stalwarts, opinion leaders, community / traditional leaders and political juggernauts; who did not only take their time to attend the official commissioning of “a block of six classrooms and 240 desks and chairs handed over to the management of Ojodu primary school iii” by the administration of Engr. Julius Olumuyiwa Oloro – Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, but they were also present to laud another remarkable achievement of Engr. Julius Oloro regime.
In a collaborative effort with the Legislators, Executives and Management staff of Ojodu LCDA, this team of highly revered personalities have distinguished themselves to be a source of inspiration to the good people of Ojodu LCDA by unswervingly fulfilling the All Progressive Congress (APC) party’s and Oloro’s electoral vows and campaign promises to the constituents. This administration has to its glowing tribute added another credit by ensuring an upsurge and positive development in the aspect of primary education – donating a block of six classrooms with 240 desks and benches for convenient learning for the beneficiaries. This is another of the accomplishments by the glorious administration of Engr. Olumuyiwa Oloro.
Conclusively, the following projects and events testify to the fact that the Oloro led administration do not renege on her promises as it is fully committed to give our children qualitative educational foundation:
