OJODU LCDA CHAIRMAN PRESENTS ₦9.9BN 2026 “BUDGET OF SUSTAINABLE GROWTH FOR ALL ” TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has officially declared open the 2026 Budget Retreat, tagged “Sustainable Growth for All: Investing in Resilient Communities.”

The strategic retreat, which also incorporates the Annual Procurement and Planning Summit with the sub-theme “Understanding Public Procurement and Procedures,” commenced on Saturday, 13th December 2025, at Osmark Hotel and Suites, off Akala Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Declaring the retreat open, Hon. Odunmbaku described the annual exercise as a critical platform for strengthening governance, promoting fiscal responsibility, and ensuring inclusive development across Ojodu LCDA. He noted that the retreat provides an opportunity for collective reflection, collaboration, and forward planning among key decision-makers.
“This annual gathering remains crucial for reflection, collaboration and forward planning. It allows us to harmonize our priorities, align our strategies and ensure that the aspirations of our people are thoughtfully and sustainably captured in the fiscal direction of the coming year,” the Chairman stated.
Hon. Odunmbaku further emphasized that the 2026 budget would be driven by the need to deliver sustainable growth, invest in community resilience, and deepen transparency and accountability in public procurement processes.
The retreat brought together top government officials, heads of departments and units, procurement officers, development partners, and other critical stakeholders. Participants are expected to engage in robust deliberations aimed at shaping a people-centred, transparent, and development-oriented budget framework for the 2026 fiscal year.
