OJODU LCDA CHAIRMAN HOSTS LAGOS ASSEMBLY HEALTH COMMITTEE, EARNS COMMENDATION FOR INNOVATIVE HEALTHCARE INITIATIVES
October 28, 2025

Today, we had the privilege of hosting the Presentation of Back-to-School Items and Teachers’ Empowerment Scheme Award Ceremony at the Ojodu LCDA Secretariat.

As part of our efforts to support pupils and ease the burden on parents, we distributed 2,000 school bags, 25,000 exercise books, and writing materials to pupils across all our public primary schools, including Ojodu Primary Schools 1–3, Estate Primary School, Ogba Primary School, and Oke Ira Primary School.

Education remains, to me, the bedrock of societal progress. That is why our administration has continued to invest strategically in this sector, from the distribution of 500 classroom furniture, to the provision of free JAMB and GCE forms for indigent students, including an additional 250 GCE forms distributed last month. We have also expanded our Digital Training Programme in partnership with TCK Fellowship, through which over 2,600 pupils have been trained in coding, robotics, and other digital skills, a programme we are now extending to all our primary schools this term.
In appreciation of our hardworking teachers who continue to shape young minds with dedication, we recognized and rewarded outstanding educators under the Teachers’ Empowerment Scheme.

Mrs. Abiodun Salamotu Shuaib received ₦350,000, Mrs. Tijani Ibrahim Kafayat received ₦250,000, and Mrs. Mariam Omobolanle received ₦150,000, while ten others were also rewarded with ₦50,000 consolation prizes each.
With the support of my Deputy, Hon. Funmilayo Layeni, the House Leader, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira, Councillors, and other community stakeholders, we remain steadfast in our mission to nurture the next generation through inclusive, holistic, and impactful education policies.
This initiative is a clear expression of our HEYSRELOADED Agenda, empowering our youth, uplifting our teachers, and strengthening the educational foundation of Ojodu LCDA.
Earlier today, we flagged-off a transformative free Health Mission in Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), as the community gathered to witness an extraordinary endeavor aimed at providing high-quality healthcare and uplifting the standard of living for us al pic.twitter.com/SF5wSAlHRx
