SEGUN ODUNMBAKU MEETS WITH TRANSPORT UNIONS - OJODU LCDA

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku today hosted the leadership of transport unions at the council secretariat in Oke Ira, Ogba.

The meeting which was centered around preparations for the forthcoming Ojodu carnival, general elections and the proposed tricycle project of the local government.

Hon. Segun Odunmbaku in his welcome speech at the meeting which was centered around preparations for the forthcoming carnival, general elections and the proposed tricycle project of the local government deeply appreciated the union leaders and thier members for the peaceful conduct of thier operations which is contributing to the peaceful coexistence and socioeconomic development in Ojodu LCDA and environs.

The Mayor also explaining in detail that his administration has secured arrangements with a microfinance institution that would collaborate on the Tricycle project in conjunction with TVS, a global brand and tricycle manufacturing company that would provide the tricycle with minimum interest to beneficiaries with the benefits of a service center and training of local technicians by TVS for local content development.

On the forthcoming Ojodu carnival, the mayor requested for  the union leadership to be fully represented like other segments of society because the carnival is more about community involvement and showcasing of communal merriment at the event while he further enumerated his plans to develop Ewe Obaja market, renovate and refurbish cultural heritage sites and palaces within  Ojodu LCDA.

The Mayor implored the union leadership to galvanize massive votes through door to door campaign and mobilizing thier members who had registered to get voter’s card which is now decentralized to the wards level for easier collection by the electorates so as to massively mobilize voters for the success of APC and it’s candidates in the 2023 elections.

Representative of the union leadership, Mr Ismaila Taiwo (Elewedu) appreciated the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku for always seeking inputs from the union in decision making and prayed that the administration and Ojodu LCDA would continue to be prosperous.

In attendance at the meeting are the Council Manager, Engineer Dele Abayomi, Leader of the House,Hon. Opeyemi Apatira, Chief Of Staff, Mr Dapo Adeoye,Hon. Lekan Peters and Mr Henry Akleche.
