…..Hon. David Odunmbaku Commended for Empowering National Social Register Exercise in Ojodu LCDA…
In a remarkable show of grassroots leadership and unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has thrown his weight behind the ongoing update of the National Social Register (NSR) in Ojodu. The NSR is a key component of the Federal Government’s intervention programme designed to identify and support the poor and vulnerable population across Nigeria.
To facilitate the smooth execution of the data enumeration and awareness campaign, Hon. Odunmbaku provided essential logistics and support materials including reflective jackets for easy identification, public address systems (megaphones) for effective sensitization, and buses branded with the council’s insignia for mobility and visibility of the enumeration team. These tools have significantly enhanced the capacity and effectiveness of the team tasked with updating the register.
The enumeration exercise, being coordinated in Ojodu LCDA by the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, A/P Fayemi Olusegun Isaac (JP) and team lead by Mr. Olowookere Emmanuel, has seen a commendable level of success with the team conducting door-to-door registration and sensitization in various communities within the LCDA.
Speaking on the impact of the council’s intervention, CDC Chairman Fayemi Olusegun applauded the Chairman’s foresight and generous support. “We applaud Hon. Odunmbaku’s proactive approach and generosity in empowering our community’s most vulnerable members. His actions have undoubtedly made a significant impact on the success of this exercise,” he said.
The National Social Register is a critical tool for the implementation of social safety net programmes across Nigeria, and Hon. Odunmbaku’s support aligns with both state and federal efforts to uplift the underprivileged and ensure no one is left behind.
