Ojodu LCDA celebrated this year’s Children’s Day with a vibrant event held at Estate Primary School, Ogba. The celebration featured 15 participating schools including six public primary schools, six public junior secondary schools two private schools and one inclusive special needs school.
The day was filled with fun activities such as match pasts, traditional dances, choreography, calisthenics and bouncing castles. Prizes were awarded to schools with outstanding performances, adding excitement to the celebration.
Representing the Chairman’s wife, Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, the Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation emphasized the theme, “Children, Our Future,” which reflects Ojodu LCDA’s commitment to youth development through education support, WASH projects, and Back-to-School programmes.
She noted that Hon. Segun Odunmbaku’s administration remains focused on the well-being of children, ensuring a brighter future for Ojodu’s youth and aligning with Lagos State’s broader development goals.
All participants are urged to seize the opportunity, with unwavering support promised from the council.
